KUCHING: The Cats Xposed Awards Volume 2, which has been postponed early this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be taking place this coming Nov 7 at 8pm, held on a virtual stage via Cats FM Facebook page.
According to Cats FM programme manager Aelma Zaidi, all finalists have already made preparations and are looking forward to this moment.
“We are all excited about this event and as well for our sponsors whom will be witnessing this first of its kind music awards virtual event.
“Meanwhile, to the fans of Cats FM and supporters of the nominated artists’ you can watch this event wherever you are via social media — this show is specially intended for all who have supported us over the years and have inspired us to continue with this project,” she said, adding that during the actual event, the finalists and crew on duty will be present at Cats FMs’ hall.
This programme will feature 10 indie songs, composed, written and performed by Sarawak musicians who have been selected from the Cats Xposed chart throughout 2019.
Seven categories will be featured, including best vocals and best performance.
The 10 finalists along with their songs are Hamka Alimin with Valerie, Lasykar Seni (Lasykar Hitam), Firrais featuring Amarah Emcee (Listrik Cinta), Zani Ajan (Sembilu), Imaginasi Muzik (Meditasi Mimpi), Natalie Anik (Jelungan), Robert Achu Lary (Nadai Ku Ngadang), Chris Aidan (Sejuta Kenang), Fred Alpha (Pengerindu Tuchi) and Teresak Borneo (Di Terabai Pengerindu).
