SIBU: The Sarawak State Library (Pusaka), Sibu, is set to host the Sarawak Children’s Literature Festival (SCLF) program, spanning two days starting on September 21 (Saturday). The event will take place at its premises on Jalan Tun Tuanku Bujang, Sungai Merah, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Participation in the event is free and open to children of all ages, with the official opening expected to be conducted by Dato assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.
In a media statement released today (September 17), Pusaka Sibu highlighted that the SCLF is among its highly anticipated annual programs, dedicated to celebrating children and their talents across various domains.
This year’s SCLF will showcase over 50 collaborators, comprising a diverse range of agencies, companies, organizations, and specially invited storytellers from overseas.
Themed ‘Candy Fantasy Sweetlands’, the program aims to nurture creativity, develop talents, enhance social skills among children, and offer a delightful learning experience.
Featuring more than 100 engaging activities such as craft workshops, musical performances, dances, storytelling sessions, competitions, games, pastry making, educational exhibitions, and various other categorized activities, the festival promises a captivating experience for children.
The statement emphasized, “Children are encouraged to participate in this event to embark on a journey that expands their imagination.”
