KUCHING: The Sarawak Digital Economy Awards 2024 (DEA2024) will spotlight and celebrate the region’s digital innovation and collaboration, offering a platform for visionaries and pioneers to inspire and drive Sarawak towards a digitally advanced future.
The highlight of the DEA2024 will be the Premier’s Digital Economy Award, a prestigious recognition that honours the most exceptional achievements among the winners in categories such as the Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) Award, the Research and Development Award, the Technology Start-Up Award, the Digital Government Award, the Sustainability Award, and the Industry 4.0 Award.
According to a statement, the winners of these categories will be assessed further based on their strategic implementation, leadership in digital transformation, ecosystem development, capacity and capability building, and the creation of value for their organizations.
“The DEA2024 will lead up to an awards night on October 17, during which the eight finalists’ submissions will be showcased,” it says.
Furthermore, the DEA2024 coincides with the 7th International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS).
This year’s IDECS, themed “AI for Sustainable Development: Navigating the Green and Circular Future,” provides a vibrant platform for global leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can drive sustainable development.
“IDECS 2024 aims to chart a course towards a more sustainable and resilient future, driven by AI’s transformative potential.
“The key focus areas include green technologies and innovation, fostering collaborative partnerships, promoting equity and access, ensuring sound policies, regulations, and ethics, and developing circular supply chains to drive a sustainable future.”
Submissions to participate in the DEA2024 can be submitted online starting 23rd August until 23rd September at https://dea2024.ireka.my.
