SRI AMAN: National Day Celebration 2022 was celebrated in full national day spirit after a two-year pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a statement by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) the Jalur Gemilang was waved highly at the Batang Lupar River with 40 fishermen boats sailing from Kampung Hulu and Kampung Tengah.

The patriotic spirit was seen as visitors were celebrating the national day carrying their own flags as a show of national pride.

Present at the event was Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, who came to officiate at the programme organised by Lingga Service Centre in collaboration with Lemanak Fishermen Committee (Jawatankuasa Nelayan Lemanak) and the community leaders, at the Sri Aman Waterfront on Wednesday (August 31).

There were also Bicycle Decoration Competition, Patriotic Karaoke and a Surfing Show to add to the national day spirit
