KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan on Thursday received a courtesy call by a delegation from Xingyi Glass Co. Ltd, China (Group CEO Xingyi Group China) at Wisma Sumber Alam, here.
The delegation was led by its CEO and Executive Director Datuk Tung Ching Sai.
Such call was aimed at briefing the minister on when the company will commence with its production of glass-based items at Samalaju/Tanjung Kidurong, Bintulu.
With the ownership of eight similar factories in China, the Group will possibly include Bintulu in their business plan that could bring in an investment worth up to RM4.3 billion.
Also present during the call were Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development Datu Liaw Soon Eng and State Planning Unit Director Datu Abu Bakar and other distinguished officials.
