KUCHING: The preparations for the forthcoming Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Chap Goh Mei Concert are progressing without a hitch.
MBKS Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng said that artists from both the local scene and Peninsula Malaysia are eager to dazzle Kuchingites with their performances.
“The concert celebrates the 15th day of Chinese New Year, known as Chap Goh Mei. I warmly invite the Kuching community to join us and enjoy the festivities,” he said on his Facebook page yesterday (Feb 23).
In addition to the musical performances, the concert promises a lineup of thrilling activities, including lucky draws.
“We’re also planning fireworks and traditional lion and dragon dance performances to add to the excitement,” he added.
The event is scheduled to start at 7.30 pm today (Feb 24) at the MBKS Floating Theatre with free admission for all.
The concert also will be broadcast live on TVS, and updates will be available through TEA FM.
