SIBURAN: St Andrew’s Chapel in Batu Gong here will receive RM30,000 grant from the Minor Rural Project (MRP) to upgrade its facilities.

Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil therefore urged the community to support the chapel’s upgrading efforts.

“Chapels and churches serve as a place for residents to gather every week to pray. It also strengthens relationships and fosters spiritual growth among the local community,” Dr. Jerip said at a fundraising dinner for the chapel here recently.

With aspirations for the chapel to become a leading religious centre for the local Christian community, Dr. Jerip also praised the efforts of the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) for supporting diverse religious institutions across the state.
