SIBU: A total of 159 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Betanak and 119 students from SK Penibong were grateful recipients of cash donations.

Additionally, 41 trainees and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) from the Pulau Bruit Community Rehabilitation Center (PDK) received both cash donations and food baskets, while eight PDK staff also received similar support.

The Pulau Bruit’s Volunteer Fire Brigade also received uniform sets and food baskets to improve their community safeguarding efforts.

These contributions were handed over by the Pulau Bruit Graduates’ Association (PGPB) advisor Kamil Spiee, during Dato Sri Wahab Dolah’s donation presentation ceremony and cooking competition at Kampung Betanak Pulau Bruit, Daro recently.

The event wasn’t just about donations – it was a lively gathering filled with various activities and entertainment.

One of the highlights was the cooking competition, which featured 26 participants showcasing a diverse range of dishes and traditional cuisine.

Another exciting aspect was the karaoke competition, drawing in 30 participants.

The event was made even more vibrant by guest singers from the West Malaysia – Farawahida, Tuah Adzmi, and Ahmad Yassin.
