KUCHING: A Chevening Scholarships Information Session and Workshop was held here on Sept 21.
It was jointly hosted by the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and the Sarawak Skills Group of Learning Institutions (Sarawak Skills).
Among the highlights of the workshop were sharing sessions by two Chevening alumni, namely Afifah Ismail and Laura Kho.
“I am pleased to note that the Chevening Scholarship fully funds a one-year master’s degree in any course at any UK university with no age limit,” said Executive Director of Sarawak Skills, Hallman Sabri
“This includes (but is not limited to) the following: university tuition fees; a monthly stipend; travel costs to and from the UK; an arrival allowance; a homeward departure allowance; the cost of one visa application; a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.”
Also present at the Chevening Scholarships Information Session and Workshop were Professor Datuk Dr. Shazali Abu Mansor, Acting Vice Chancellor, i-CATS University College and Amy Francis Najur, Deputy Executive Director of Corporate Services, Sarawak Skills.
The submission deadline for the Chevening scholarship applications is Nov 5.
