KAPIT :Kapit Chiang Chuan Association recently presented cash incentives to 42 students who excelled in their school and public examinations last year.
The recipients, who included diploma and university graduates, received the incentives at the association’s Chiang Chuan Hall here.
Among those present were the association’s committee members, Teoh Say Beng, Tan Kian Kiong, Teo Tien Chai, Soon Peng Hai, youth chief, Gary Ngo and women chief, Kapitan Yap Hui Le.
Also present were Chinese community leaders, namely, Pemanca Yong Thu Fook, Penghulu Sia Shui Poh, chairman of Tai San Ten Association Kong Siau Kui, chairman of Kwang Tung Association, Kong Sien Hua and also the leaders of other non governmental organisations.
In her opening remark, the chairperson of the association, Sng Geok Yien congratulated the successful students.
She advised them to study hard. She also urged parents to give priority to their children’s education.
