KUCHING: A recent shooting practice conducted by the Eastern Field Army for the state’s security enforcement agencies at the Muara Tuang Camp in Kota Samarahan had enough of spine-tingling moments.

The fighting and shooting scenes acted out by the soldiers and the enforcers could easily send the faint-hearted running to the washroom to throw out.

Everything looked real, even the cherry red juices (that was supposed to be blood) they shot out of each other’s skulls.

In a press conference held after the event, Eastern Field Command commander Lt-Gen Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain said the programme was held for the first time by Eastern Field Army, in conjunction with its sixth anniversary.

Zamrose said it was meant to foster closer ties and build a strong professional partnership with the security enforcement agencies.

Among the agencies involved in the programme were the Sarawak State Security Council, the police, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM), immigration, Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Sarawak Veterans Affairs Department (JHEV) and local media agencies.
