MUKAH: Tellian received RM300,000.00 in funding from the state government for their new Mukah Chinese Benevolent Society Building project and an annual grant of RM10,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2023 for the Chinese associations of Mukah Division.
Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine disclosed this when officiating at the 2023 Chinese New Year Dinner organised by 16 Chinese associations of Mukah Division at Kingwood Hotel Restaurant here on Wednesday (Feb 22).
According to Royston, he is also very proud to be able to gather 16 Chinese community associations in one programme that will definitely strengthen the relationship between all of them.
“With solid support from everyone and government agencies responsible for maintaining our national unity, as well as the involvement of all levels of society, we are confident that there are many things we can work together to develop our constituency in a more orderly and organised manner.
“The needs of our community are not only in terms of infrastructure facilities, but also in terms of awareness in community life is very important. The attitude of mutual respect and helping each other in our community is growing day by day.
“In addition, we will be able to overcome various local needs and social problems as best as possible with this kind of close cooperation among our community with government agencies and representatives of the people,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the good relationship and cooperation will always continue to ensure the prosperity and well-being of communities in particular.
