KUCHING: The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) aims to provide a networking platform for all participants to enhance their working ties post-Covid-19 pandemic which severely affected the business community.
Recognising the importance of economic and business networking, ACCIS will be holding its Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration dinner tomorrow (Feb 10) evening at Imperial Hotel here.
The function will be graced by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
As part of Sarawak’s business community, ACCCIS places great importance on this unique tradition, especially after a lapse of three years due to the pandemic.
The Chinese New Year grand celebration dinner is one of the main events of ACCCIS.
It is expected to draw together ACCCIS council members and committee members of its 22 constituent members located in 12 divisions throughout Sarawak, namely Kuching, Simanggang, Sibu, Miri, Sarikei, Bintulu, Limbang, Bau, Serian, Saratok, Bintangor, Kapit, Daro, Mukah, Batu Niah, Song, Sibuti, Baram, Lawas, Betong, Sebuyau and Kanowit.
Amongst the invited guests are cabinet ministers, consul-generals from China, Indonesia and Brunei, heads of government departments and agencies, representatives from trade associations and commercial banks.
