The other members of the committee comprise:-

  • Deputy chairperson: Alice Lau Kiong Yieng
  • Vice-chairpersons: Mordi Bimol and Oscar Ling Chai Yew
  • Secretary: Alan Ling Sie Kiong
  • Assistant secretary: Larry Asap
  • Treasurer: Chiew Chiu Sing

  • Assistant organising secretary: Ung Cheng Chak
  • Publicity secretary: Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen
  • Director of political education: Irene Mary Chang Oi Ling

“As we have indicated, we want more youth to be on our lineup of the highest decision-making body of DAP Sarawak.

“Sure enough, in our lineup, we have four out of 15 who are 35 years-old or younger, and six out of 15 who are below 40 years-old,” he disclosed.

He added that on top of the 15-member lineup, the state DAP was also authorised to add five co-opted members.

“For that, we will give priority to those under 30. Of course, this is subject to availability and suitability of the candidates.

“And so we are not going to make youth a subsidiary or secondary unit in our decision-making body. We want them to be directly involved as they have the largest and most important voice in this organisation,” he emphasised.
