SIBU: A political secretary to the Chief Minister Michael Tiang yesterday visited Sing Ang Tong Methodist Church here.

One of his aims was to check on the enforcement of the standard operating procedure (SOP) at the church, especially during mass services.

“I was glad to see the church’s commitment in complying with SOP guidelines for worship services this coming Sunday to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” he said.

Presently, the maximum number of worshippers allowed at a mass prayer service is reduced to only 250 persons from the usual 1,000 persons, he said.

“There is no age limit but those physically ill and aged below 12 years old are not encouraged to attend the services,” Tiang explained.
