KUCHING: The Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) has channelled grants worth RM580,000 to four churches in Sibu.
The recipients were BEM Bethel Church, Teku; Iban Methodist Church, Jalan Fong Ming; St John Church, Jalan Datuk Haji Openg; and St Mary’s Church, Jalan Awang Ramli Amit.
Present to handover the grants to the churches was Local Government and Housing Assistant Minister Dr Annuar Rapaee.
“We, in Sarawak, will continue to work together as a community of different ethnicities,” said the Nangka assemblyman in a Facebook post today (Dec 15).
