MIRI: A total of 127,508 cigarette sticks and 1,819.44 litres of alcoholic beverages with unpaid duties of RM126,079.79 were confiscated by Miri and Bintulu’s Customs Department Office in a raid held at a premises in Long Lapok, Tinjar on April 16.
“During the raid, the enforcement team also detained two suspects to assists our probe,” said State Customs Department director Datuk Sharifah Halimah Tuanku Taha in a statement, yesterday.
The two suspects will be investigated under Section 135(1)(d) of the Customs Act, 1967.
