KUCHING: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) now has a clean state and will continue to make an impact in the Malaysian political landscape.
Its president Datuk Larry Sng said this when welcoming the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s decision on Tuesday (June 6) to dismiss former Ampang MP Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin’s application for leave to commence judicial review proceedings against the Registrar of Societies (RoS) in relation to the party’s presidency.
“In politics, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It doesn’t mean that since you lost, that makes you a bad person.
“Not at all. On the contrary, I want to thank her for all that she (Zuraida) has done to help promote the name of PBM, even when she is no longer a member of the party,” he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (June 6).
He added that with Zuraida gone, together with her supporters from the leadership lineup including former MPs and assemblypersons namely, Xavier Jayakumar, Edmund Santara, Mohamaddin Ketapi, Paul Yong, Haniza Talha, Daroyah Alwi, Sivasubramaniam and Leong Cheok Keng, PBM is on a good footing with a clean slate.
“Even if that means we have only one seat in parliament for now. In 2004, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) too had only one seat in parliament and today they are the government of the day,” said Sng.
