SIBU: The Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) is teaming up with the Durin Community Welfare Association (DCWA) and the Nibong Sibu Neighborhood Association (NSNA) to organise the ‘Cintai Sarawakku’ Cleanliness and Rabies Vaccination Campaign this Saturday.
The programme will take place at the Service Centre near Durin Bridge starting at 8:30 am.
During a press conference at SRDC today (July 18), organising chairman Yong Chong King said that the programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings for better health and safety.
Additionally, it is a way to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Sarawak Merdeka.
The programme is expected to be officiated by Sibu Chinese paramount chief Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming.
Also present was SRDC’s Assistant Environmental Health Officer Rity Jawa.
