KUCHING: The Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg’s official schedule yesterday was dominated by two briefings on charting the future direction of Sarawak’s participation in the oil and gas industry.

In the morning, Sarawak Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce (DUBS) president Datuk Abang Helmi Tan Sri Ikhwan, tasked with the duty of organising the inaugural Sarawak oil and gas seminar and exhibition, was at the Chief Minister’s office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia to brief Abang Johari on the made in preparing for the seminar and exhibition.

The aim of the seminar is to gain expert input and professional views on the much awaited venture Sarawak will make into the oil and gas industry.

Later in the afternoon the Chief Minister was briefed by Petros board relating to development and issues towards making the state’s participation in the oil and gas industry a reality.

Leading the Petros delegation was its chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo who was assisted by CEO Saau Kakok.
