SIBU: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has expressed his condolences to the family members of the late Tun Rahah Mohamad Noah who passed away on Friday afternoon at the Prince Court Hospital, Kuala Lumpur.
He said Rahah, 87, was very close to the state’s previous leaders as her husband, Tun Abdul Razak, was the country’s second prime minister. She is also the mother of sixth prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
“She often visits Sarawak and is also very close to my mother. On behalf of the people of Sarawak, I would like to extend our condolences to the family of Tun (Rahah). May her soul be placed among the righteous,” he told reporters after officiating at the Dalat Phase 2 Waterfront and Bazaarnita Fatima in Dalat, near here. ‒ Bernama
