KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from the newly appointed state Broadcasting Department director (RTM) Abdul Hadi Mohd Yusoff on Monday (Sept 7).
According to the State Information Department (JaPen), it was Abdul Hadi’s first courtesy call after being appointed as the new RTM Sarawak director since July 16 this year.
During the visit, Abdul Hadi discussed the role of RTM in streamlining the functions of radio as an important medium in Sarawak.
Abdul Hadi also expressed RTM Sarawak to work closely with the state’s media and communication agencies including Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) and TV Sarawak.
He said this was in line with RTM’s role to prioritise on the delivery of information, especially to the rural community which are still using radio as their main transmission medium.
