KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will speak in an online dialogue session called ‘The Chief Minister’s Webinar’, which will be streamed at 10am on Monday (Nov 23).
The online webinar titled ‘Sarawak 2021 Budget: Towards a High-Income Society in 2030’, is organised by the Sarawak Business Federation (SBF).
“In light of this year’s catastrophic events, we need to find strength and motivation by looking ahead and finding ways to rebuild, to discuss practical steps our business organisations can take so that we can be on the right path to a high-income nation,” said SBF president Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg in a statement issued on Saturday.
Its deputy president Datuk Philip Ting said the webinar will be attended by SBF members to keep public abreast with the latest developments on how the state will pursue its transformation journey to be a high-income nation by 2030.
“Our federation of 15 associations have submitted 14 questions which will be addressed and answered by the chief minister during the webinar.
“As our members cover all business sectors and employ more than 80 percent of all private sector employees in Sarawak, this webinar will be highly beneficial to them and other business organisations in Sarawak,” he added.
