MIRI: This city, particularly along Jalan Raja, High Street and Miri Times Square, are filled with various kinds of Chinese New Year (CNY) lights and other decorations used to celebrate the Year of the Rat.
Hundreds of people flocked to these places over the past few days looking for CNY decorations and other festive items including mouth-watering food.
Red lanterns and Chinese lamps (many of them lit) could be seen hanging at the various stalls, offering ample selections to shoppers at very reasonable prices.
All along the streets, people continue to queue up for their favourite delicacies. One that has caught the most attention is a Taiwanese (could also be Korean) food stall.
The vendor’s clever and interesting approach in presenting the food has managed to gain the attention of customers.
