KUCHING: Datus United Junior’s head coach, Abang Zamzam, is hopeful that Kuching City FC will take notice of his players after their impressive unbeaten streak.

“Our hope is that Kuching City will take note of our players. We aspire to go far, and our players share that ambition,” he stated.

Reflecting on his team’s performance against Kpg Buntal, Abang Zamzam expressed his satisfaction.

“The players gave 100 percent effort, and I was completely pleased with their performance,” he said after the match.

Facing a strong Kpg Buntal side in the first half, Abang Zamzam recognised the need for tactical adjustments in the second half.

“We made some changes, and alhamdulillah, we were able to secure a 2-0 victory,” he noted during an interview with New Sarawak Tribune at Padang D, following the PETRONAS Youth Football Closed Tournament 2024 on Sunday.

He credited the team’s rigorous training, including mountain runs, for improving the players’ speed and power.

“So far, we have drawn one and won three matches without a loss. We will continue to train hard, as our next opponent poses a tougher challenge,” he added. Abang Zamzam also emphasised the importance of fostering a good relationship with his players, believing it significantly contributes to their success.
