BINTULU: The local Fire and Rescue Services Department (Bomba) in Bintulu received a report on an accident involving two vehicles yesterday at 10:09:39 hours.

In the report, the accident happened at the traffic light next to the junction of Kampung Jepak, along Bintulu-Sibu Road.

It says the operation ended at
10:50:00 hours.

On the number of personnel and assets involved, Bomba Bintulu sent one FRT and EMRS vehicle each plus another Hilux vehicle. A total of 11 personnel from the department were involved.
There were two police personnel helping at the accident scene whereas there three medical personnel manning one Ambulance from Bintulu Hospital.

On the status of the accident, the Operation Commander reported it involved a 3-ton lorry that hit a Proton Saga FLX at the traffic light junction. Due to the accident the Proton Saga driver suffered head injuries. No victim was reported stuck to any seat of the vehicles.

Bomba EMRS team did some early help and treatment with the victim before handing him over to the hospital personnel who brought him to the hospital for further treatment and action.

The Operation Commander was PB Jefferi bin Isa, according to the report from Pusat Gerakan Operasi Bomba Sarawak received yesterday.
