KUCHING: Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn led a delegation on a working visit to Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd today (July 5).

The visit, reciprocating an earlier courtesy call by the company’s General Manager to the Ministry in April, aimed to strengthen ties and explore collaborative opportunities.

“The Minister and delegation were warmly welcomed upon arrival by Yuki Nakamura, General Manager of Pertama Ferroalloys, and his team,” said the ministry in a statement.

The visit included a briefing on the company’s background, future direction and a discussion focused on shared values.

“This visit signifies a commitment to collaboration between the Ministry and Pertama Ferroalloys.

“The focus is on pursuing shared objectives, such as advancing education, promoting social inclusivity in wealth distribution, and enhancing talent and skills development within the Sarawak workforce,” it added.

The delegation included Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development; Anielia Siam, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry; the Bintulu District Education Officer; and representatives from Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd.
