KUCHING: Kuching Community College distributed 200 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ (savoury porridge) to frontliners and staff from various government agencies in conjunction with the ‘Kesukarelawanan Ihya Ramadan’ programme on Friday (May 7).
“The programme, organised by the college’s Student Representative Committee in collaboration with Kuching Community College United Alumni Association, was held to appreciate the commitments and sacrifices of the frontliners, especially during the Ramadan month.
The distribution of bubur lambuk was graced by director of the college, Suharyati Sulaiman.
“Petra Jaya Health Clinic head Dr Maziah Ishak, State Welfare Department deputy director Mohamad Ali Taib and Senior Fire Officer Nooruddin Ismail received the ‘bubur lambuk’ on behalf of the frontliners,” said the college in its statement today (May 8).
Also present at the programme were deputy director (management) of the college, Liew Foong Ching, the alumni association chairman Suria Deresa, Student Representative Committee president Vicror Virandel and others.
