SIMUNJAN: A collision between two cars near the Simunjan flyover resulted in one of the car being completely burnt after it caught fire, resulting in injuries to both drivers during an accident yesterday.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, they received a call at 11.10am regarding the collision involving a Toyota Altis and a Proton Waja.
The Toyota Altis was extensively damaged by the blaze. Fortunately, two injured individuals were rescued by bystanders before firefighters arrived.
The firefighters swiftly deployed its operations using specialized equipment, including a Single Line Hose Reel with Supplementary Pumping Apparatus and water from the fire engine tank.
The operation concluded at 12.18pm, with the fire fully extinguished and the situation deemed safe.
