MIRI: Columbia Asia Hospital-Miri has officially become a strategic partner of the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) initiative today (Jan 30).
The partnership was formalised in a simple ceremony where Women, Childhood, Community Wellbeing Development Minister Dato Seri Fatimah Abdullah, handed over the KGC’s plaque to the hospital’s managing director Dr Chong Ket Cheong.
“We hope more in Miri to come forward and become our strategic partners for the initiative…so that our community will benefit from it,” said Fatimah.
Also present were Deputy Minister Women, Community Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus, and the hospital’s chief of medical services Dr Roland Dom Mattu.
This collaboration marks a notable expansion for the KGC initiative, which now boasts 484 strategic partners across the state, including 48 in Miri alone.
At the same event, Fatimah also presented three new KGC cards to recipients currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
