KUCHING: A Blood Donation Campaign and Free Health Screening will be jointly organised by the Jawatankuasa Kemajuan Dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) Kawasan Simpang Tiga Kenyalang and Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin on this Sunday (Oct 13).
It will be held at Vivacity Megamall East Atrium from 10 am until 2 pm.
This activity aims to encourage people to participate in voluntary blood donation to help patients who urgently need blood transfusions. Successful blood donors will receive goodie bag as a token of appreciation.
At the same time, to promote good health and well-being for all, there will be free health screening which includes blood sugar test, blood pressure check, body mass index (BMI) measurement and also health education.
The event highlights also include organ donation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) demonstration as well.
