BINTULU: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women has reminded the electorate in Jepak to cast their votes on Oct 4.

Its supreme council member Datuk Rosey Yunus said that it is the responsibility of the people to vote for their representative in their constituency.

“The polling places in the area will have different closing hours as some will close at 12 pm, 2 pm, or even 4 pm. So I hope that the people will follow the schedule that has been set.

“Having said that, I also hope that the people will vote for our candidate, Iskandar Turkee. In terms of development, people can see for themselves.

“Therefore, the women’s movement only hopes that the people will play their part by voting for our candidate,” she said when attending the Jom Ngeteh programme at Abida Cafe here today.

Touching on the programme, Rosey said it is to reminisce the memories of former Jepak assemblyman, the late Datuk Talib Zulpilip, who often dined at the cafe to socialise and listen to the complaints of the local residents regardless of race or religion.

“The late Talib often visited this cafe to spend his time with the people in the area. It is a rather nostalgic place for the people.

“That is why we will continue to have relaxing programmes such as this because we believe that it is one of the best ways to unite the leaders and its people,” she added.

The programme here today was also attended by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Jepak candidate Iskandar Turkee along with Jepak residents and locals in the area.
