KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth and Sports Ministry and the Malaysia Stadium Corporation have arranged for the live telecast of the AFF Suzuki Cup final to be shown on a big screen at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur Sports City, Bukit Jalil today.
Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said they were aware of the problems faced by Malaysian football fans in getting tickets to watch the final between Harimau Malaya and Vietnam at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil.
“I sympathise with those who failed to get tickets for the first-leg match despite queueing up for so long. This should not have happened. The ministry is ready to help Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) ensure such incidents do not recur.
“We will look into the incident and find a long-term solution with FAM on this matter. I wish to invite all Malaysians to the Axiata Arena to watch the game on the big screen and support the Harimau Malaya,” he said in a statement issued on his Instagram account today. – Bernama
