KUCHING: Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah revealed that the State Budget would be a “very good budget” after attending the Cabinet meeting yesterday morning.

However, he refused to divulge any information on the budget.

“I will not touch on the budget. (I will) let Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg present it on the day and we will see from there,” he said to reporters after visiting the venue for the upcoming Sarawak Spartan Race.

The two-day race is set to take place at the Sarawak Civil Service Leadership Institute at Mile 13, Jalan Kuching-Serian, beginning tomorrow.

Abdul Karim, who is also the Youth and Sports Minister, further disclosed that there were various Cabinet papers presented in the meeting and his ministry presented six papers which have been approved.

Among the other major issues discussed during the meeting were the Supply Bill and clarification from the chief minister about his statement purporting that the entry of Sabahans into Sarawak would be relaxed.
