KUCHING: The Sarawak Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) has announced the full implementation of its Commercial Vehicle Licensing System (iSPKP) starting from November 17.
The new iSPKP System promises to streamline licensing processes, offering a more efficient and user-friendly approach. This digital shift aims to minimise the need for physical interactions, aligning with modern administrative trends.
In a statement, LPKP outlined the specific scenarios requiring in-person visits: “Only applications involving cross-border (Sarawak/Brunei/Sabah), Temporary Change License (LPS), and permit cancellations are to be made at the LPKP Sarawak counters.”
To facilitate the transition, all licensing procedures will now be processed exclusively online via the iSPKP System. Applicants can access the system through the following links: https://portal.ispkp.gov.my/sarawak/ or the Official LPKP Sarawak Website https://www.lpkpsarawak.gov.my/
LPKP Sarawak also provides support for inquiries at various locations, including the Head Office in Kuching (082-412033), the Sibu Branch (084-343103), and the Miri Branch (085-419876). Additionally, queries can be directed to the dedicated email address: inquiry_ispkp@lpkpsarawak.gov.my.
To assist users in adapting to the new system, comprehensive user manuals and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are available via the iSPKP Portal.
