SARIKEI: Samling Group of Companies is committed in assisting the government’s efforts to combat the Covid-19 outbreak in the state.

Its general manager Choo Siong Liew said the company’s participation was in line with the company’s corporate approach in providing donations to anyone in need.

“This is part of Samling’s commitment to help the government in the fight against Covid-19,” he said.

“We hope this contribution will help reduce the shortage of
medical equipment at the hospital,” he said.

Among the equipment distributed to Sarikei Hospital were face masks and thermometers.

The hospital’s director Dr Tey Siew Chang received the donations from Choo.

Choo said similar assistance was also provided to Bintulu, Miri and Lawas hospitals.

“This is our small contribution in helping to deal with the Covid-19 outbreak,” he said.

He urged the public to continue to obey the movement control order (MCO).

“All parties need to cooperate to prevent the spread of the virus,” he said.
