BALINGIAN: Completed Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects here were handed over to the people recently (Oct 21).
The projects involved were the construction of drains at Kampung Tutus Hilir and the construction of a new jetty near a community hall at Kampung Teh in Mukah.
Work on the projects began last August and was completed this month, about three months ahead of schedule (Jan 2022).
The upgrading of a road at the Sungai Liuk area here, which began last September and scheduled to complete in February next year, was also completed this month.
All the projects were implemented by the Mukah Division Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) and undertaken by local contractors.
A handover ceremony of the projects from the DID to the people was held at respective locations here and in Mukah recently (Oct 21).
Special officer Che Ghazali Arbi, who represented Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, witnessed the simple event.
