KUCHING: Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni has reminded Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) to ensure that programmes and activities conducted comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government.
He said that during the recovery movement control order (RMCO), the SOPs should be complied with to maintain safety and avoid Covid-19 infections.
“During the RMCO, the government has reopened economic sectors and allowed the implementation of programmes and activities for the community but this must be in adherence with the SOPs.
“Practices such as social distancing, use of face masks, avoiding of crowds, and frequently washing of hands or using hand sanitiser should be followed,” he said when presenting the annual fund to Kampung Hijrah Bako JKKK recently.
Touching on the annual JKKK fund, he advised Kampung Hijrah Bako JKKK to spend it properly.
“This annual fund can be used to hold community programmes and activities, especially during this RMCO.
“Discuss and agree to hold suitable programmes and most importantly, comply with the RMCO SOPs,” urged Dr Hazland.
According to him, there are 29 villages in his constituency and he makes visits almost daily to discuss any issues they may have present annual grants and check on the Rural Transformation Projects (RTPs).
