KUCHING: The congestion that occurred Monday (June 14) at the Covid-19 Vaccine Administrations Centre (PPV) at Sarawak Indoor Stadium in Petra Jaya, here was due to a temporary power outage.
State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in confirming this, said the committee is taking the matter seriously and has identified the cause of the problem.
“For the information of the public, the congestion that occurred today was due to unavoidable technical problems including a temporary power outage at the stadium.
“We have identified the cause of the problem and overcome the weaknesses of the system used and taken further action,” it assured.
SDMC said this in its daily Covid-19 update today.
The committee also apologised for the inconvenience faced by the public at the PPV.
“The cooperation and support from the public for the success of this vaccination programme is greatly appreciated,” it added.
SDMC also advised the public to arrive at the PPV according to the set appointment time to avoid congestion.
