DARO: The construction project of two roads in the area will continue, said Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.

“I promise that I will try to make the two projects a reality. This is because, with the construction of the roads, it will further boost the economy of the local population, thus making it easier for them in this area.

“The two road construction projects are Jalan Jemoreng-Passin and Jalan Ilas-Sebenak,” he said.

He said this at the 2023 Daro Festival Closing Ceremony and Daro District People’s Project Site Handover Ceremony, here today.

Commenting further, he said, although the projects are under the implementing agency, as a representative of the people he is still responsible for them.

“As a representative of the people, I will not allow the project to be carried out without any monitoring.

“In that regard, I also believe that the cost of building this road facility will increase but it will still be approved by the state government.

He said this is because it benefits the residents of rural areas, especially in Daro.

At the same time, he shared that to overcome the water problem in his constituency, the state government has approved an allocation amounting to RM5 million.

He explained that the amount will be used to upgrade the existing water system in Daro.

“This certainly brings joy and relief to the residents of Daro because this area is developing and the population is also increasing.

“Therefore, I am asking everyone to be patient with the implementation,” he added.

He said that this will increase the water supply to the entire Daro area from 0.8 mega litres per day (MLD) to three MLD.
