SEBUYAU: The tender for the construction project of the new building for SMK Sebuyau is expected to be released this year.
Assistant Minister for Coastal Road, Datuk Julaihi Narawi said that the project has been listed to be implemented under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).
“It is part of a development project that will be built in the Sebuyau New Township area,” he said during the excellent award presentation ceremony for PT3 and SPM 2017 students in SMK Sebuyau here yesterday.
The Sebuyau New Township will comprise important components such as a mosque, school, clinic, government building and various facilities.
The development would be implemented by the Land Custody and Development Authority (PELITA) with an area of 298.51 acres.
Earlier on, Julaihi said that he would do what he can to help students in the area to excel in their studies by providing adequate resources.
“My contribution isn’t much but I hope it can help students to learn better with adequate resources to prepare for exams,” said Julaihi, who is also the State Assemblyman for the area.
SMK Sebuyau has seen an increase in GPS (Average School Grade) in last year’s SPM as 22 students achieved excellent results while last year’s PT3 saw 10 students scored the examination.
