BINTULU: Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing has again appealed to the people of Bintulu to continue complying with the movement control order (MCO), which has entered its third phase, or face severe punishment.
He said that this was to help the efforts of the government to ensure that Malaysia and especially Bintulu could be free from Covid-19.
He also urged the public not to leave their homes if there was no urgent need to do so, to take care of personal hygiene with frequent hand washing, use hand sanitisers and face masks, and practise social distancing.
“Let us play our role together to help curb this outbreak,” he urged.
Tiong stressed that the community played an important role in breaking the Covid-19 transmission chain by complying with all the government directives.
He also went down to the ground to monitor himself the public’s compliance with the MCO by visiting various roadblock locations around Bintulu.
At the same time, he assured that he would continue to help provide essentials for frontliners working day and night to ensure that the people complied with the MCO.
