KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rainfall alert for several areas in Sarawak, expected to last until Monday (Feb 5).
The department said the affected areas include Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat, and Mukah) and Bintulu.
A continuous rain alert is issued when rain is expected to persist for one to three days or when continuous rain or thunderstorms are expected to continue.
Previously, a continuous rainfall alert was issued for Miri and Limbang until Feb 4.
Meanwhile, the public is advised to stay updated by checking MetMalaysia’s official website, the department’s official social media accounts, or by downloading the MyCuaca app for the latest and accurate weather updates.
