KUCHING: Three hundred and five boxes of contraband beer worth RM45,750 were seized during a raid on a house at Sample Park, Jalan Tun Hussein Onn, Bintulu last Saturday (Sept 12).

According to a statement on Monday (Sept 14), the 1pm raid, dubbed Ops Libas, was conducted by Sarawak General Operations Force (GOF) and the 12th Battalion of Miri GOF along with a team of officers of Bintulu District Police Headquarters (IPD).

“Upon inspection, the 305 boxes of contraband beer were found kept inside a store room and a van at the house.

“Including the van, which was worth RM120,000, the total estimated worth of seizure was RM165,750,” the statement said.

The seized items were taken to Bintulu IPD for further action.
