KANOWIT: Sarawak General Operations Force (GOF) members seized contraband items worth RM396,690 during a raid at a farm in Kanowit-Penyulau road here on Friday.
Codenamed ‘Ops Libas’, the GOF team raided several containers suspected of being used to store the contrabands.
The raiding party found 297 boxes of Pure Blonde beer and 2,290 cartons of white cigarettes of various brands inside one of the containers.
The items were seized under Section 135(1)(d) of Customs Act 1967 and were handed over to Kanowit Crime Investigation Division for further action.
No one was at the location during the raid.
