LUNDU: Strong cooperation between elected representatives and the District Office will improve the provision of government services to the people.

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said that cooperation between Lundu District Office and Sematan Sub-District Office with him was much needed to ensure that the initiatives and aspirations of elected representatives especially for Opar could be achieved.

He said development and local issues should also be discussed among these parties for the benefit of the local community.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), he said this during the Randau Programme with Opar assemblyman held at Kampung Pasir Hulu on Friday (Jan 21).

Also present was Lundu District Officer Gustian Durani and other government officers.

During the programme, which was organised by Lundu District Office’s Welfare and Social Committee, Billy expressed his hope that this programme would be the starting point for close cooperation between him and the two parties concerned.
