KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg had discussed cooperation between Sweden and Sarawak with the Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Joachim Bergstrom .
According to the statement by UKAS yesterday, Abang Johari received a courtesy visit from Dr Joachim at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.
“We also touched on cooperation in several different sectors in Malaysia, namely, transportation, infrastructure, information technology (IT) and technology,” Dr Joachim said, adding that the courtesy visit was his first one to the state.
Meanwhile, he disclosed that Sweden had strengths in waste management, energy and so on.
“So there is a lot of potential and cooperation (that can be done) with Sarawak,” he said.
