KUCHING: Cooperation between the Federal and Sarawak government in the areas of green energy was among the topics discussed during a meeting between the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The two leaders met today (Dec 22).
Anwar, through an official posting on his Facebook page, said he received a courtesy visit from Abang Johari at his office in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur.
“The meeting discussed cooperation between Sarawak and the federal government, particularly in the field of green energy as well as the increasing investment opportunities in Sarawak and in the Peninsula.
“We also talked about close cooperation in the context of the Unity Government which will definitely continue to be strengthened for the sake of the people,” said Anwar.
Meanwhile, according to a statement from the Premier’s office, Abang Johari met the Prime Minister for more than an hour.
“The meeting discussed several current issues,” the statement read.
