BAU: Bau police district headquarters (IPD Bau) is all out to eradicate the aedes mosquito in a bid to keep its officers and personnel free of dengue.
Police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said yesterday with help from the Health Department the policemen cleaned the compound of their quarters.
“We are aware of the potential threat posed by the mosquitoes. We certainly don’t want to see our officers, staff and their families suffer because of dengue,” he said when contacted.
He said the cleaning session involved intensive checks and spring cleaning at high potential breeding grounds.
“We had cleaned the surrounding of our residential area at various parts. And the Health Department had carried out fogging here last week,” he added.
