SIBU: Narcotics police arrested a local man for allegedly possessing RM2,600 worth of suspected Ecstasy at a house along Jalan Sentosa yesterday (Sept 21).
Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili in a statement, said that the arrest was made around 3.30pm on the upper floor of the house.
“Further inspections led to the finding of seven ‘Juice Master’ packets containing suspected Ecstasy mixture powder inside a Maxis router box.
“The drugs weighing 221.72g, have a street value of around RM2,600,” he said.
Following that, the 24-year-old suspect along with the seized drugs were taken to the police station for further actions.
Zulkipli added that the suspect, who had prior records related to drugs, was tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, ketamine and benzodiazepine.
The suspect will be remanded for five days to facilitate investigations under Sections 39B and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
